The glorious St Vincent does glistening prog rock magic without the bombastic blokey nonsense, although occasionally with capes. Her live shows are a life-enhancing marvel, so don't miss this one. Blue Roses is a Yorkshire woman with one of those sweet clear folky voices that could be from 200 years ago and a bag full of tender fingerpicking tunes.
